By: EURweb.com

Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon made their first public appearance as a married couple Thursday night in New York. The newlyweds attended the party for Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Both entertainers showed up to the Lincoln Center around 9:30 p.m. and bypassed the red carpet press, instead heading straight inside to allow Carey adequate prep time for her 10:30 p.m. performance, reports E! Online.

Carey, 38, wore a silver minidress on stage. Afterwards, she donned a strapless black dress accessorized with her 17-carat wedding ring before she and her husband hit hotspot The Waverly Inn.

Today, Mimi is scheduled to tape an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," which will mark her first television interview as Mrs. Nick Cannon. The episode will air tomorrow.
